Wyatt Began Djing in 1993 – roughly 6 months after learning how to DJ... pure luck and timing. Within a year he was playing to packed clubs with multiple residencies from Rock Island in 1994, I-Beam, America and Bangkok Lounge just to name a few. Next to his name on rave flyers in the 1990’s read “Denver’s hardest working DJ.” In the late 90’s Wyatt had residencies at Denver’s hottest Clubs and raves (The Church, 1082 Broadway, Vinyl, Together Productions, Roofless) and joined the Local DJ Label “Casa Del Soul” with Little Mike, Foxx, Sense, Ty Tek and Catt. From this partnership sprang a record store, 2 record labels and an intro to music production. Over 20 releases later on 11 labels, with residencies in Barcelona, Chicago, Rio De Janeiro, San Fran, NYC, and Portland – It’s safe to say Wyatt had a feel for the dancefloor.
In 2003, Wyatt’s production partner Jonas Tempel let him in on a secret he and Eloy Lopez had been working on – a digital download network for DJs. Wyatt became Beatport’s first employee and helped shape the strategy for the first business model. Since then, Beatport.com has solidified it’s position as a staple in the electronic music industry and DJ’s first choice when searching for great music. “I really couldn’t ask for much more – working with my friends at Beatport during the day and resident at the best club in Denver “Beta” on the weekends. I’ve lived and Breathed this music for the last 15 years and can’t imagine it any other way.”
