I was bored at work one day. I started drawing my name, “NUGGET”, on a napkin and I had just bought a shirt from Black Flys that said, “Style Is Everything.” I wrote the word “STYLE” underneath my name. I was pretty impressionable at the time and I took that saying very seriously. I was in the NAVY at the time and I didn’t want anybody to know. So I tried very hard to have my own style so that my friends DOSOMETHINGTONIGHT.COM and I would stand out. I then wrote Micah, Spoof, Nick, and Boston Mikey’s names around mine. They were the four guys I always kicked it with. I wanted people to recognize me as somebody who knew where to go to have fun. I basically made such an ass of myself in Waikiki for a few years so that everyone knew who I was or at least had heard of me.
Where are you from?
I was born in Syracuse, NY. Moved around for about 4 years and grew up in Bradenton/Sarasota, FL. I moved to Loveland, Oh for 8th grade and we immediately moved back to Fl for high school.
How long have you been promoting?
A little over a year.
Why did you get into promoting?
I first started promoting for my friend, Tommy McKinley who played with “liquid Courage” just to meet girls on the beach that would be there later.
Where was your first promotion spot?
Tsunamis on Tuesdays. When I got out of the Navy, my friend Randy G, was one of the owners of Tsunami’s Waikiki and he gave me Sundays and we made it one of their busiest nights.
Tell us a crazy story from one of your parties.
Our first night at Lulu’s on Saturday’s with “FIRE” was on St. Patricks Day and Davy from myevolution asked me to get some people ahead of the line and I did. I walked them back to Micah Banks where the gentlemen jumped up onto the behind the DJ booth, they cut the music and he introduced himself as Talib Kwali and then opened up for our first party which was a surprise to us. When he got down he tossed me the microphone and said, “Aren’t you that kid from Fashion 45 on Wednesday?” and I was confused and he said, “You told us about the Jager special and we came up.” I charged them to get in and didn’t know who they were. He was very humble. It was one of the craziest things for me that early on.
What do you guys do when you're not promoting?
Hang out with my girlfriend Stephanie, Pure, I work on the side in the wholesale business, and flipping condos.

Booming if we all play life’s deck of cards right!
We heard a rumor that you have a Nugg Life tattoo, is that true?
Absolutely and my girlfriend hates when people I don’t know ask to see it so if you see me please ask to see it I will be glad to show it to you. P.S. my logo is my first tattoo, it means “Loving Life” or “Happy Everlasting Life” I got it after reading Jack Kerouac’s, “On the Road”
