(Honolulu, Hawaii), March 7, 2011 Prepare to have your audio cravings fulfilled as the hip-hop, funk band, Family Dinner, dishes out their debut album Now Serving... with their music video premiere, "Soul Surfer Shakedown," on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at The Old Spaghetti Factory in the Ward Warehouse, 1050 Ala Moana Blvd. Pre-sale tickets are now on sale for $30 and include a spaghetti buffet, served from 8:30 pm till the show starts at 9:45 pm. The debut CD and Family Dinner T-shirt will also be included with the purchase of every ticket.
Serving creative music to audiences across Oahu, Family Dinner's sound covers the whole pallet. Mixing ingredients from Hawaii, New Orleans, Israel, and Cuba, these musical chefs are sure to stir up a flavor that will excite your tastes. Picture this: Sly and the Family Stone invites over the Red Hot Chili Peppers for tea and cookies and then Biz Markie gets back from a guru retreat and starts playing the ukulele. Family Dinner is now served.
"The album is a classic clean sound of hip-hop dinner music," says front man Joel Spiral. "These songs pay homage to the lifestyle I have lived on the island of Oahu for over ten years. Be prepared to redefine your expectations of what hip-hop is and is capable of becoming."
Alongside the band, the evening will be packed full of special performances by The Waves, Jason Tom the beat box connoisseur, and The Bentos. Hosts Malaya, Elle P, and Seph 1 will keep the show going from 9:45 pm to 1:00 am with the girls of the Dinner Rolls.
