Time Emcee Battles at Tropics Cafe Ward on Friday August 28th. Featuring
performances by Hawaii HipHop Supergroup Bad Things & Grind Time Emcee
Battles Between Matter of Fact V.S. TKO & Trashman V.S. Obese Jesus.
Grind Time is a Rap "Battle League" with membership stretching from the
East Coast to the West Coast of the Mainland. In a Grind Time Battle,
Emcees have 3 rounds of a minute each to "battle" and "diss" their
opponent. In Grind Time, Emcee's know who their opponent will be weeks
in advance. This allows them to be able to rap "Writtens" in the battle
though many times, it is a combo of Writtens and Freestyles that win the
battle. The winner is selected by a pannel of 5 judges. For more info,
