Comedians Joey Guila and Kaleo Pilanca will headline the LOL! Comedy Slam on Saturday, September 5 for one night of full blown funny entertainment with Local Funny man Lanai serving as it's host. Presented by Two Flip Productions, the LOL! Comedy Slam will be held at Pier 11 Terminal in the Aloha Tower Marketplace.
Joey Guila is considered to be one of most successful Fil-Am comics out there performing in some of the top venues across the nation. Guila has set the bar for Filipino comedians by winning the western division of the First Asian-American National stand-up competition as well as the regional Kings of Comedy. "This should be a really good show because at a time of economic stress, I think all of us really need a good laugh and just shake things off for the time being", says Guila.
Kaleo Pilanca is the one of the most recognized comedians in Hawaii performing in shows such as Braddahs and Friends and The Nahenahe Comedy Festival. Pilanca is also a radio personality on 102.7 FM "Da Bomb" hosting the morning show.
Tickets for the LOL! Comedy Slam starring Joey Guila and Kaleo Pilanca are $20 pre-sale on-line at www.islandtix.com or at all GCI Wireless stores, Barefoot League, and the UH Campus Center. Cost at the door is $25 and VIP tickets is $40. Doors open at 7:00 pm and show starts at 8:00 pm. This is a 21-years old and older event.
